The university has been named after the great Indian Yogi- sage Patanjali, and was founded in 2006. The university is spread across an area of 60,482 sq. mtr. Its focus is to impart personality development education to its students. It believes that the modern universities lack in providing personality development skills to its students. Revered Yog Rishi Swami Ramdev gave the call to ‘Go back to Nature’ and has laid the foundation of the university. The vision of the university is to deliver a blend of Vedic & Modern knowledge, science, and research in the field of Yoga. It also aims to establish a Research & Development Centre to promote innovation in the field of Yoga and Ayurveda.
University of Patanjali has all the facilities for teaching, learning, and research in the field of Yoga and Ayurveda. It also provides special provision to opt for Sanskrit and Communicative English teaching programmes to its students. The university has Patanjali Yogpeeth Trust (PYP) service centres for the practical exposure of the students. Through these centres, the students can conduct their own service activities like horticulture promotion, rural sanitation, and healthcare management in the areas nearby university.
The university invites national and international students from across the globe. They get equal opportunity in the university irrespective of their race, colour, creed or religion. It believes in the idea of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ which means that the whole world is our family. It promotes humanitarian qualities like mutual cooperation, harmony, etiquette, etc. The university celebrates every festival of national and international importance.
The university of Patanjali aims to develop the feeling of a sacred kinship between the teacher and the student. It aims to keep up with the Gurukul tradition of the Vedic Age. The teachers teach students with the similar affection to that of a parent to all of its students. Similarly, the teachers provide its students with guidance and foster kindred relations with the students.
The university lays special emphasis on laying the foundation of a good personality amongst its students. It aims to develop good habits and spiritual values in its students. A student’s sincerity is developed with a sense of duty towards Indian culture and humanity in general. The Patanjali University imparts value education with skill development of its students. It is a cumulative learning experience for the students at the university.
The university of Patanjali has a great facility of hospital and care with good arrangement of OPD and IPD. Modern facilities like pathology, radiology, and cardiology are available in the campus. Apart from that, some traditional medical facilities like Panchakarma and Shatkarma are also available in the university campus.

The university provides both online and offline admission facilities.
Application:
Online: Candidates can apply online through the university website. They have to pay INR 1,000 online.
Offline: Candidates have to obtain the application form from the university office by paying INR 1,000 for the prospectus. Same could also be obtained through Post by sending a Bank Draft of INR 1,050/- in the favour of the university.
Duly filled application form must be sent along with the required documents to the university.
