Established in 2014, University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata, is a UGC and AICTE approved university. It aims to provide an international exposure with innovative teaching techniques and custom-made technical & soft skills courses for the job market. The university has been awarded an ‘A’ grade by NAAC which demonstrates academic excellence. It has also received the prestigious “Top Engineering College Award 2022” by Economic Times and many other awards. Additionally, it has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the international industry such as Baker Street, Virtualinfocom, and many more for industrial training, guest lectures and placement opportunities. It also helps students to get exposure and familiarise themselves with the global opportunities.

The University has many tie-ups with some of the greatest names in the multiple industries. It conducts various guest lectures and speaker sessions with some of the key-note speakers for the students. Various workshops like Women Self Defence Workshop, etc. are also organised for the overall development of the students and help them understand the nuances of the industries.
University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata, focuses on practical learning. In order to provide real-time industry experience to the students, it encourages students to work on different industry projects like OT Based Solar Energy-Controlled Cooling System for Vehicles, Image Capturing and Manoeuvring Drone, and much more.
The university gives online access to all the study material to its students. These include online lectures, notes, assignments, etc. Students come prepared to classes from lecture notes and videos. This helps them to engage in health group discussions and explore ahead.
The university has collaborated with various foreign universities for study abroad programs. This gives the students a chance to work on real projects and interact with foreign professors, corporations, and even add certificates to their CV. The university has tie-ups in 5 major countries, namely – Canada, USA, Singapore, Australia and UK.
The university has signed MoUs with some of the major industries to help students gain training, understand the intigrities of their field and eventually land a job. The university has collaborated with AICH Appraisers Auctioneers & Valuers, Illicium Motors Pvt. Ltd., Perennation Computer Solutions Global Pvt. Ltd., SHRM Biotechnologies Pvt. Ltd., Virtualinfocom and a few other renowned industries.
