Sant Baba Bhag Singh Memorial Charitable Society established Sant Baba Singh University to educate the younger generation and help them acquire wisdom. The UGC-recognised university started its academic activity in 2003 by inaugurating the SBBS Institute of Engineering & Technology. Soon the society established other institutes, collectively becoming Sant Baba Bhag Singh University. The university has been awarded with Excellence Service Award and received 4.5 stars from the Government of India. The university is determined to offer holistic growth. Hence, they organise various cultural and extracurricular activities such as NCC, NSS, and industrial visits.
Sant Baba Bhag Singh University hosts frequent guest lectures on the campus where industry experts equip students with various life skills and professional expertise. To promote skill-based education, the university has collaborated with youth4work to conduct skill tests for students. Additionally, the university has also signed MoUs with multiple universities to deliver international education standards to students. They are trained & mentored by top professionals for various research works.

The skill test assists students in finding their potential and standing out among their peers. Moreover, this programme enables them to learn, prepare and show their professional talent to the world.
The Training & Placement Cell of the university consists of professional mentors who assist the students in getting placement during the campus recruitment drive. The Cell also conducts various training activities such as Faculty Development Programme, Entrepreneurship Development Training, Skill Enhancement Session, etc.
Additionally, it provides students with 100% placement assistance and organises career counselling sessions.
To help teach practical skills to the students, the university organises industrial visits. Students get insights into the internal components of the organisation and become aware of its working method. Moreover, it gives them clarity about various management concepts. It also helps them to learn how to implement their learning in practical scenarios.
The university invites corporate professionals during guest lecture sessions where they share their professional journeys and also provide an essential educational experience to students. Moreover, the faculties act as role models and familiarise students with the corporate world.
The university invites top mentors to conduct career counselling sessions. Through this counselling process, students become aware of the different career paths and prepare to pursue their desired company. The university organises these monthly sessions and encourages students to clarify and resolve their doubts.
The university has signed a MoU with GNDEC-STEP to provide them with the necessary resources to train aspiring entrepreneurs. Moreover, it organises sessions with top entrepreneurs that give them insights into the industry, market culture and products. Students are also provided additional support such as seed funds, incubation centres, mentors etc.
