The Indian Institute of Public Health located in Delhi is one of the emerging higher institutions that focusses on public health and administration. The university has different well established centres of excellence such as Ramalingaswami Centre for Social determinants of Health, Bengaluru; Centre for Chronic Conditions & Injuries; South Asia Centre for Disability Inclusive Development and Research, Hyderabad; Centre for Environmental Health and Digital Health. These centres aims to strenghtehn education and research training in the areas related to public health.
The university acts as a catalyst to facilitate the development public health-related education, training, research, and policy development. The university has collaborated with more than 50 national and international organisations. This helps the students to expand their horizons and enter the international job market. Additionally, it has a dedicated training division that was established in the year 2008 with the motive to help students hone their skills.
The students of the university are provided with various internship opportunities which offer them challenging situations and the ways to deal with them before they actually join the workplace. The internship opportunities offered by the institutions helps them students to gain deep understanding of the subject matter.

The various activities include Professional Skills Development Workshop, Resume Writing, Cover Letter Writing, etc,. Additionally, it also organising pre placement talks with the industry experts. Thus they assist the students throughout the whole placement process.
The university provides financial assistance to the students to encourage them to make a career in the sector of public health and allied sciences. The various scholarship programmes initiated by the university are P & G Health Scholarship, Emmes Scholarship Fund, and Dr. PG Tulpule Scholarship Fund.
