Established in 2004, the ICFAI University Sikkim is a multidisciplinary university recognised by the UGC. Dedicated towards imparting quality higher education in the state of Sikkim, the university offers state-of-the-art infrastructure, experiential learning, industry-academia interface and extensive internship programmes. The university has adopted a modern, case-based pedagogy to promote practical learning among students. To make sure that the curriculum meets the currency industrial requirements, the university works in close association with industry experts. It also organises various guest lectures, workshops and industry visits so that students can gain real-time insights on the latest happenings in the market.
To maximise exposure and learning opportunities for students, ICFAI University Sikkim has entered into mutually beneficial relationships with many national and international organisations such as Eduwork International Services, Kalinga University, etc. Furthermore, the university has a strong alumni network including some prominent names such as Pranab Mukherjee, Former President of India; Justice Deepak Mishra, Former Chief Justice of India and many more. The university has also in place a Department for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship to provide skill development opportunities to the students.
Some of the prominent personalities in India such as Dr. Pranab Mukherjee, Justice Deepak Mishra, Dr. Harsh Vardhan Shringla and many more have studied from ICFAI University Sikkim.
In its endeavour to make students industry ready, the university has established a strong industry-academia partnership to facilitate interaction between students, faculty and industry experts. This helps to keep the curriculum of the university relevant to the contemporary market needs.
ICFAI University makes sure that students get every opportunity to enhance their skill set. To facilitate the same, the university has set up the Department for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship in partnership with National Skill Development Corporation and Apollo MedSkills. The department offers various certificate programmes in multiple domains.
To encourage holistic development and personal grooming of students, the university has set-up various student clubs such as Debating Club, Fine Arts Club, Music Club, etc. These clubs help students explore their interests and enhance their personalities.
In order to provide students a chance to interact with alumni, ICFAI Sikkim has established an alumni society. Students can become a member of this society and participate in various seminars, workshops, etc.

Students have the option to apply via both online as well as offline modes. In order to apply online, students have to fill an online application form and register their email id and pay the online registration fee. They must attach their coloured photograph with the application form.
In case of offline application, students must download the application form from the website, fill it and send it to the university along with Demand Draft of the application fee.
