The World University of Design is a UGC-approved university which provides cutting edge courses in Fashion, Design, Communication and much more. The university aims to impact the design sector by helping students excel in their field with holistic development activities. The university gives an immersive experience to students through its state-of-the-art infrastructure and advanced design courses.
The World University of Design has collaborated with multiple European universities such as Brunel University, UK; Politecnico di Milano, Italy, and others to give students exposure to international design curriculum and improve their innovation capacity. The university has signed student exchange agreements with foreign universities to help them enter the global education market. It has also invited numerous famous personalities such as Prof. AG Krishna Menon, INTACH; Prof. Osmud Rehman, and Ryerson University for sharing their knowledge and motivating students. It also helps them to expand their network.
The World University of Design has started a student exchange programme in coordination with international universities. This programme has also allowed the exchange of faculties, and researchers to improve their skills and make sure they get the foundational training.
The World University of Design often conducts workshops in collaboration with industry trainers to train students and make them ready for their professional journey. These workshops boost students’ design ability and they also get to witness real-time design projects.
WUD keeps a well-stocked library with hard copies and electronic editions of books, journals, and magazines from every field. The library of the university exposes students to a vast set of knowledge which benefits them during their academic journey.
The Industry Programmes division of WUD conducts on demand workshops, seminars, and events. That helps the students in understanding the nuances of the creative industry. WUD combines the extensive knowledge and abilities of its faculty members with experts, practitioners, and educators from a range of businesses, institutions, and organisations.
To give students exposure and chances for project-based learning, such as final year projects, industrial training, classroom projects, and live projects, the university’s Placement Cell offers effective strategies to help students land lucrative jobs.
The university outreach programme connects faculties and students to industries, institutes, and organisations. This helps them to gain unique skills and improve their overall capability. Under these programmes, the university conducts workshops and training.
The comprehensive design service takes up numerous design projects in the public and private sectors. Skilled professionals are responsible for delivering these projects on time. This also benefits students as they get to learn from live projects and enhance their skills.

Admission to the World University of Design is a 3 step process. The students have to fill out a detailed application form, upload all the necessary documents and make the payment.
The university conducts/ accepts the following entrance exams:
- DAT/ NIFT/ NID/ D-Art/ CEED/ UCEED
- AAT
- CET/ GAT/ CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ SAT
- PG-DAT
- PG-GAT
- NATA/ JEE
After appearing for the entrance exam, shortlisted students will be called for a personal interview. Additionally, the students have to showcase their portfolio.
