Vidyashilp University was established under the guidance of Vidyashilp Education Group in the year 1982. It was established with the aim to foster a culture of collaboration and high performance by providing students ample opportunities through global partnerships and placements. It has a well-developed research centre that undertakes joint research with institutions and universities. The career development centre of the university offers placement assistance through training, counselling, and even post-course completion assistance.
Vidyashilp University follows the concept of experiential learning wherein creative methods of teaching and learning are followed in the academic curriculum. The university has partnerships with various national and international academic institutions and industries. This helps the students widen their knowledge base along with a number of opportunities. A differentiated feature of the university is its ‘Unique Curriculum Builder’ which focuses on emerging domains like digital business, economics and data science. This is based on six pillars, namely, University Core, Programme Core, Programme Honours, Programme Elective, Minor/ Open, and Foundation.
Vidyashilp University leverages the potential for personalised, integrated, and seamless education through creative methods of teaching and learning. By incorporating the concept of Experiential Learning in the study curriculum, the students tend to gain a better understanding of taught concepts.

The Career Development Centre offers services and resources to students during their studies and even after their studies to provide them with career opportunities. The centre also provides training and development programmes along with proper guidance so that students are able to land their dream job.
Vidyashilp University uses a multidisciplinary approach to support students’ growth by focusing on merging fields, such as digital business, communication design, data science, psychology, and economics. Depending on the curriculum chosen, its corresponding domain is fully covered to enable the students to forge connections quickly in real-world situations and to advance their competence.
