Established under the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009, Vanita Vishram Women’s University is the first women’s university of Gujarat. It was established under the Public-Private partnership with the Government of Gujarat. The university addresses the national call of “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” and aims to increase the higher participation rate of women in leadership and entrepreneurial activities. The university also provides various government scholarships and fellowships to meritorious students.
Vanita Vishram Women’s University has signed various MoUs to help enhance the learning process. Whereas, the training and placement cell of the university offers an industry internship programme. It gives them the opportunity to understand the industries. It adds to their exposure to industrial setup and working. Additionally, for all-rounder growth of students, the university organises activities such as sports activities, NSS, NCC, and SSIP: E-Waste Management.
The university has signed various MoU with prominent industries. Surat Diamond Association, Pandesara Infrastructure Limited, Fab Designs, and Institute of Certified Professional Accountants Academy are to name a few. This helps the students to understand the working of various industries, and network with industry experts.
For the holistic development of the students, the university organises various activities. For all rounder growth of students, the university organises activities such as sports activities, NSS, NCC, and SSIP: E-Waste Management
The Training and Placement Cell encourages industry-university interactions and provides relevant training to the students. During the last semester, the cell provides six weeks of training to the students in industries. Additionally, the cell also has an industry internship programme that gives the students an opportunity to visit the industries to get real-world experience.
In regard to the university motto of empowering women, the university allocates free ships which are financial grants offered to meritorious students. The university believes that finances should not be a hindrance in education.

For admission to Vanita Vishram Women’s University, the students have to fill an online application form, attach all the necessary documents and make the payment.

Students, who have secured 50% marks or more in the qualifying examination, are eligible for direct admission into the university on a “First Come First Serve” basis.
For those students who have secured less than 50% marks in the qualifying examination, admission is subject to the availability of seats and is granted based upon a merit list released by the university.
