Established on 19th December, 2018, Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara University is a UGC-recognised university. It was established under the guidance and funding of the Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Education Society. The university is known to impart quality education in the field of Education & Health Care since the academic year 1903. Hence, it offers numerous state-of-the-art clinical facilities where students can gain practical experience and work on real-time projects.
Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara University is the first private university to have incorporated a digital assessment system in their curriculum. The university specialises in healthcare education with special emphasis on research. Additionally, it has collaborated with various national and international universities for student exchange programmes, and research.
The university has numerous research facilities to conduct multiple research work and encourages young researchers to develop innovative products. It also helps them to publish their research in scientific journals and contribute to the healthcare sector.
The university organises workshops at regular intervals through highly experienced professionals. It also organises medical evaluation sessions & guest lectures to assist students to gain advanced skills and more profound knowledge of the medical sector.
The university’s alumni help students with their professional journey by mentoring, guiding and providing them with solid networking opportunities. The alumni can connect with the student through the university portal.
The university has introduced various clubs for the students such as Art & Photography Club, Cultural Club, Literary Club, Nature Club, Music Club, Dance Club and many more. These clubs allow them to explore their hobbies and showcase their skills. Additionally, since these clubs are managed by the students themselves it hones their leadership skills and teams to work in teams.
The university has collaborated with various international & national universities to provide multiple facilities to students. These include student exchange programmes, research collaboration and industry training.
The university has multiple constituent colleges, such as the College of Medical Sciences & Hospital, College of Dental Sciences & Hospital, College of Physiotherapy, Nursing Science and Research Institute for Biomedical Sciences. These were established with the motive to reach out to more and more students.
The university awards scholarships under the ‘National Fellowship for Persons with Disabilities’ to differently-abled students. The UGC will select 200 students under this scheme, and fellowship is disbursed to students directly by the ministry.
