Established in October 2020, Shiv Nadar University, Chennai is a private university located in Kalavakkam village in south Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It is the second university set up by the Shiv Nadar foundation. The university has world class infrastructure and a growth promoting environment. It is a global university focused on innovation, research, academic excellence, creativity and development.
The university focuses on holistic development of students through an approach that blends academic rigour, a culture of research and sustained industry engagement.The university’s placement cell aims to provide training to the students by organising various activities such as group discussions, mock interviews and tests, lectures and workshops. Every year, some of the top recruiters of the country visit the campus, such as Adobe, Barclays, Tata consultancy services, Facebook, Dell, Infosys, Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Cognizant, PayPal and many more.
The University provides generous scholarships to students with the objective of promoting equal opportunities to meritorious students from all backgrounds regardless of their economic status.It offers various scholarships such as Gifted Scholarship, Rural Scholarship, Merit-cum-Means Scholarship and Sports Scholarship.
The IQAC of Shiv Nadar University was launched on December 12th, 2021 under the guidelines of National Assessment and Accreditation Council. It is meant for planning, guiding and maintaining Quality Assurance and Quality Enhancement activities of the university.
The Developer Student Club at the University aims to be a space for students to try out new ideas and collaborate to solve mobile and web development problems.The prime objective of DSC Club is to apply the learning to build projects that can combat real world problems using technology, enhancing technological skills and work collaboratively.It also helps students grow their knowledge in a peer-to-peer learning environment and build solutions for local businesses and their community.
Wula- What You Laughing At, is the comedy club at the University which focuses on two different aspects of comedy namely, Standup and improv. It aims to be a platform for all the aspiring comedians. It also focuses on event management, where an entire show is to be put up by its members who gain experience in the unfamiliar and currently booming industry. It is a great learning experience for the students who are willing to expand their horizons.

Students can apply both online as well as offline. The University requires all the students to attend the online entrance exam. The online application is a simple process which involves submission of the application form and required documents followed by the payment of fee. The offline process includes payment and submission of documents and application form in the University premises.
