Spread over 63 acres, Sharda University, Greater Noida is an undertaking of the renowned Sharda Group of Institutions. It is recognised by the UGC and is also a NAAC-accredited university. The name of the University ‘Sharda’ is synonymous with Saraswati which translates to ‘goddess of knowledge and learning’. With that motive, the university has introduced various initiatives that help students to grow holistically. It has a Research Development Cell, Sharda Launchpad to help them gain more exposure.
Sharda University hosts various events and promotes the feeling of art and culture among the students through their inter and intra-college events. Observership programmes are made accessible to students and medical graduates. Additionally, the university has many international academic tie-ups with foreign universities. Companies like Sleepwell, Amazon, and Wipro are the prominent recruiters that visit Sharda University for placement drives. So far, the highest package is 1 crore.
Sharda University in collaboration with Sharda Hospital has collaborated to launch the Observership Programmes. The students get the opportunities to attend lectures, and conferences, interview patients, and access research and publications. The health professionals are offered to observe various medical departments by the Sharda Hospital, Sharda School of Dental Sciences, School of Nursing & Research, and School of Pharmacy.
Sharda University has International Academic Tie-ups with many universities like the Curtin University of Technology, University of Alexandria, University of Bremen, and University of Warsaw to name a few. This helps the students to expand their horizons and even enter the international job market.
Sharda University focuses on endorsing both curricular and extracurricular activities to the students. It hosts various inter and intra-college fests and cultural events to bring a sense of excitement among the students along with boosting up their talent and skills through these fests. The skills of event management and organisation are also developed among the students.
The Research Development Cell at Sharda University is an ISO-certified cell and consists of the Ph.D programmes, Centre of Excellence, and hosts a lot of events in the field of research. Research is an integral element for higher education at the university, the research efforts have only expanded in multiple disciplines like Science, Management, Technology, and Engineering.
The university has established a centre for entrepreneurship which is the ‘Sharda Launchpad’ that helps various startups succeed. Sharda established the Sharda Launchpad Federation under the companies act 2013. It helps build global networking opportunities. The focus of the centre is to innovate ideas into reality. Additionally, it has an incubator programme that focuses on mentorship by the sharpest brains in the industry. And to take things on a practical level and to deal with investors there is Xcelerator that helps in scaling up the startups.
