Established in 1926, Andhra University is one of the oldest educational institutions in the country. For its excellence in academic standards, the university has received NAAC ‘A’ grade accreditation. The university started the School of Distance Education in 1972. It focuses on skill-based learning and follows a curriculum which is a perfect blend of theoretical and practical education. One of the distinct features of Andhra University Distance Education is that it focuses deeply on character building and the development of the students. The university actively organises workshops and training programmes to provide the students with industry exposure.
Andhra University ensures that the students are well aware and updated on the recent happenings in the industry and the world as a whole. Keeping that in mind, it organises various workshops and seminars, such as National Workshop on Recent Advances in Biological Sciences, Seminars on important social topics such as women’s empowerment, Social Inclusion in India, etc.
The university firmly believes that upskilling is a necessity for students in today’s world. For this, it has partnered with Swayam and provides students with an opportunity to upskill through various online courses.
