In 1996, Rama Group established the first self-financing Dental College at Lakhanpur, Kanpur. Rama University was established in 2014 under the Rama Group, founded by Dr. B.S. Kushwah, through State Legislature of Uttar Pradesh vides Act no. 1 of 2014. The University is located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh and is spread over an area of 150 acres of land. The university is committed to deliver comprehensive education to its students with the help of holistically designed training programmes. The university strongly believes in creating responsible citizens out of its students, thus in this effort, the university works with a 360 degree approach towards all round development of the students. The university not only ensures enormous growth potential but also promotes intellectual as well as personal growth.
Having highly educated faculty members with international experience and modern teaching methodology, the University is focused at preparing strong and future-ready professionals. Every year, some of the top companies visit the campus, such as Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra, HCL, Wipro, Tata Consultancy Services, Medanta, MAX Healthcare, and many more. The university established the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) for promoting different activities related to Innovation, IPR, Startup, and Entrepreneurships.

Rama fest is a 4 day long Cultural & Sports annual festival of Rama University, Kanpur. It is one of the biggest cultural & Sports festivals in Uttar Pradesh. Every year, it allows the students to showcase their talents in the fields of Sports, Art , Dance, and Music. Rama fest has hosted some of the most famous names from the Film and Television industry including Mika Singh, Jay Vijay, MJ5, etc.
The Centre for Innovation, Incubation, and Entrepreneurship was established with the objective for promoting specialised knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship development, innovation, and creative ideas. It strives to identify talented students and motivate them to do entrepreneurial and innovative works. The cell also provides facilities like initial growth funds, marking & mentoring assistance, comprehensive business plan, development & training programmes, technological facilities, network & linkages, co-working spaces, lab facilities, and advisory support to the students.
The Research and Development Cell of Rama University is established to nurture and promote high-quality scientific research culture within the faculties, staff, and students of the University. Its prime role is to help students in creating contacts with the real-world and promote research through a range of publications. It also aims to enhance the general research capacity by way of participating in workshops, seminars, conferences, paper presentations, discussions, publications, projects, etc.

The students can apply online as well offline.
Online: Candidates have to register online at the RU website to receive login ID and Password. After receiving the confirmation mail, candidates have to fill out the application form with all required details and submit the same. Payment may be done either in Offline or Online mode.
Offline: Download and print the filled Application Form. Candidates should select ‘Other’ option in order to make fee payment in offline mode. Candidates have to enclose all the required documents along with Demand Draft of INR 1,000 and send it to Rama University.

RUET– Rama University Entrance Test
After the application process is complete, the students need to attend the RUET Entrance test. Once the candidate clears the Entrance Test, he / she can apply for the formal admission to any one of the courses offered by Rama University.
