Established in the year 1991, Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya Vishwavidyalaya Chitrakoot is a NAAC accredited university. It aims to reach out to the students of the rural and remote areas with special focus on socio-economic development. The University’s mission is to deliver knowledge and industry-oriented skills needed to meet the demands of the international market, instil confidence in students, and employ modern developments.
The university has launched distance learning education to target the students of rural areas who can not opt for traditional mode of education. It is working to make up for the lack of infrastructure in rural parts of the country for education and skill upgradation. It offers study material to the students in various formats such as e-books, video & audio lectures, question bank and other resources to make the process of learning easy and highly effective. The university has employed dedicated faculty, mentors and industry experts to help students get industry exposure along with updated knowledge of skills requirements.
To provide students with a hassle-free learning experience, the university has made available various e-books, audio & video lectures, question banks and useful video links relevant to the course curriculum on its website.
The university offers 360 degree support service to the distance learning students. To allow the same, it has appointed various co-ordinators, mentors and dedicated faculties who guide students through the various academic and administrative processes.
