JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (Deemed To Be University) was established in 2008 under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 and is part of JSS Mahavidyapeetha (a body which runs a variety of other institutions). A total of 8,665 publications by authors affiliated to JSSAHER right from inception (first paper identified in 1986) till date is identified. The institute offers state-of-the-art medical training facilities to its students in the form of Skill and Simulation Centre. The centre incorporates simulation-based education for its students. There are 40 different types of adult and paediatric task trainers available at the centre. This highlights the commitment of the institution in providing cutting-edge technology in the field of Healthcare.
JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research recognises interprofessional collaboration in education, and practice as an innovative strategy as per the World Health Organisation (WHO). It aims to foster interprofessional education and supportive management practices.
The institute has a dedicated cell to assist International Students in their admission process to the institute. It acts as a single window for International Students to deal with admission and guidance of Foreign Students. It provides them with necessary guidance for securing Visas, registration with FRRO, and taking care of the general well-being of the International Students.
Centre for Clinical Research Excellence (CCRE) was approved as a collegium of the Clinical Development Services Agency (CDSA). CDSA is a Government of India initiative under the department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology.
