Established in the year 2001, Jaypee Institute of Information Technology is located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The Institute was given the status of Deemed-to-be University in the year 2004. With special focus on Engineering and Technology, the university offers opportunities for Research and Innovation. The university has an unparalleled state-of-the-art, hightech, and environmentally conditioned infrastructure with a built up area of over 1,41,610 sq.m with residential campus. Jaypee Institute of Information Technology offers a student-centric learning pedagogy. The university has collaborated with various foreign universities, such as The Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences, Finland; University of California, Berkeley; University of Florida; University of Nebraska, and others.

The university has introduced the Centre for Research which includes some centres under it, namely: Centre for Performance Modelling of Computing Systems, Prayag- A Centre of Knowledge Informatics for Sustainable Development, MEMS Design Centre, Centre of Excellence in Emerging Diseases, and Centre of Excellence in Plant & Microbial Biotechnology.
The university organises various guest lectures and conferences for the students. Ankur Jain (Chief Knowledge Expert, TIMES), Dr. Gaurav Gupta (Departmental Chair, Wenzhou-Kean University, China), Prof. Gaurav Sharma (University of Rochester), and many other renowned personalities have appeared to share their wisdom and help students see career fields through different perspectives.
The university has signed various MoUs with renowned IT companies, such as Ericsson India Global, GeeksforGeeks, lndiaMART InterMESH, McKinley & Rice, Phronesis Partners, and TUV SUD. Additionally, they offer “Train the Trainer Programme” with special focus on soft-skills and personal development which leads to more chances of employability.
Jaypee University has expanded its roots to four major cities in India including the campuses of Noida, Solan, Guna, and Anoopshahr. This helps students to take admission in the university’s nearest campus. The university has recently equipped its classrooms with Digital Infrastructure and has procured Google G-Suite for online teaching. Faculty members make use of the LMS Moodle in interacting with students.
At JIIT, the Innovation Hub spreading over an area of 20,000 sq feet, is dedicated to support pre-start up and start-up teams in terms of basic infrastructure and provide support for advanced levels of Research & Innovation. Start-up Cabins, Advanced Characterization & Fabrication Laboratory, and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory are some of the greatest features of this Innovation Hub.
