Established in the year 1998, the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad is an autonomous non-profit university. The university was established as a public-private partnership institute and is India’s first IIIT model. According to India Today’s July 2022 Rankings, International Institute of Information Technology is ranked first amongst private colleges with the best placement record. It is validating its education curriculum and system management in all the disciplines. Additionally, it has received various awards and rankings by The Week, Education World India Higher Education Rankings, and others.
The International Institute of Information Technology has thoughtfully crafted their courses according to the latest industry standards. Some of the research and innovation centres introduced by the institute are: IHub-Data, Kohli Centre on Intelligent Systems, Smart City Research Centre, Data Sciences & Analytics Centre, and many more.
IIIT-H has collaborated with other institutes as well as companies to offer some industry-oriented courses, such as CVIT, LTRC, SPCRC, etc. This helps students learn beyond a strict curriculum and explore their options.
The institute focuses on inculcating an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset. Thus, it helps students experience the process for transferring Intellectual Property and understand its monetisation. It helps students build new projects in the field of Science and Technology. Additionally, TTO oversees Product Labs which create product prototypes for the market using research generated by the institute’s labs.
IIIT-H is dedicated to deliver sustainable and reliable computing services to meet research demands. The institute has developed a High-Performance Computing (HPC) Data Centre which provides cutting-edge, state-of-the-art computing infrastructure to solve the challenges in the areas of Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Bioinformatics, etc.
The institute provides an online archive of useful software, books, and tutorials to its students. Students can download any permitted software, textbooks, reference books, and other useful study material from this resource.
The Raj Reddy Centre for Technology and Society (RCTS) at IIIT Hyderabad is dedicated to celebrate and amplify the passion of Prof. Raj Reddy in Education and Research. RCTS aims to provide global impacts to society through technology-based solutions. The key concerns of the centre are Sustainability and Scalability for strengthening the nation.
