Integral University was established in the year 2004, under the Integral University Act No. 9, 2004. It is located in the heart of Lucknow. The university is accredited by the UGC and NAAC. Thus, validating their academics and infrastructural innovation. The university is also recognised as a Scientific & Industrial Research Organisation by the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. It is a multi-disciplinary university that pays special emphasis on research.
The university is dedicated to bring about innovation in the education sector by structuring its academic courses and devising new methods of learning. It has different societies and development centres for its students. The Integral University Robotics Society (IURS), a student-run society, is the centre for all the enthusiastic students who want to explore beyond academics that the university has introduced to focus on skill development and practical knowledge. Additionally, Integral University provides short-term skill based courses for the students so that they can also tap into their interests along with other courses. Thus, focusing on value-based education.
Integral University offers various Massive Open Online Courses. The students are made aware of the organisations that offer these courses. The SWAYAM platform provides MOOC courses for all organisations like NPTEL, IGNOU, UGC, NCERT, etc. It also offers online spoken English courses under the “Spoken Tutorial Project.”
The London based company LEDMAC has collaborated with the Development Centre of the university to provide specialised incubation facilities to budding entrepreneurs. The company also works to build a culture of research in the university through industry projects and training programmes
The university has introduced Integral University Centre for Advanced Training to help students learn more about technical skills. These courses enable students to upgrade their professional skills and also assists with placements & career support.
The centre works to identify students’ talents and aptitudes to ensure the right career path for them. Through systemic intervention, the centre guides the students throughout their career journey and ensures that they meet their career goals. It exposes students to various opportunities in the government, private, and non-profit sectors.
The scholarship cell of the university provides the data of various scholarship opportunities that are available for the students. The platform lists all the scholarship programmes like Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship, PG Indira Gandhi Scholarship, PG Scholarship Rank Holders, and many others. The university believes that the students should not be restricted because of finances.
The university has introduced societies in various disciplines for the students. This helps the students to explore their interests and even explore beyond academics. Some of the societies are Robotics, High Note Music Society, Law Society, and many others.
Established in 2015, the Directorate of Planning & Research is dedicated to enrich the academic curriculum of the University. The directorate promotes new-age technology and measures in the field of education. To improve the methodology of teaching, it develops modern pedagogy.
The university provides guidance to its students for numerous competitive examinations like Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), Common Admission Test (CAT), Graduate Record Examinations (GRE), National Eligibility Test (NET), Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), International English Language Testing System (IELTS), etc.
