The Indian Institute of Health Management Research University was founded in 1984 to advance management research, teaching, and training in India. It is located in Jaipur. It has significantly contributed to the South-East Asia region’s health research management. For one and a half decades, the university has also served as a WHO Collaborating Centre. For its commitment to capacity development initiatives in the health sector, the institute has been recognised as an “Institute of Excellence” by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
IIHMR has four campuses all over India, out of which IIHMR Jaipur has become the IIHMR University. Being the first of its kind University in Rajasthan, it aims to focus on Research and Post-Graduate Education. AICTE has approved PG courses offered at the institute, including MBA and doctoral programmes. IIHMR provides complete Pre-Placement guidance that is the placement cell work tirelessly with faculties and alumni to prepare students for top companies, such as Aditya Birla, Accenture, Apollo, Deloitte by providing extensive corporate training.
Over 2,02,330 e-books are among the university’s many collections. The books are published by prestigious university presses, which include Oxford University Press, MIT Press, State University of New York Press, Cambridge University Press, and many more.
IIHMR strongly collaborates with Johns Hopkins University, USA, for academic and research. Under this programme, the university offers a joint degree MPH programme, implementing several multi-country research studies to improve health systems outcomes.
Executive degree programmes in developing and industry-specific fields are available from IIHMR University. The two-year executive MPH/MHA programme adheres to the UGC’s Learning Outcome Curriculum Framework.
IIHMR has helped participants from around the globe who work in various sectors to develop into in-service professionals. The institute organises Management Development Programmes, WHO Fellowship Programmes, and Professional Development Courses for various organisations. The emphasis of the programmes is on helping students enhance their leadership and management skills.
