Established in 1997, the Indian Institute of Commerce and Trade (IICT) is a non-profit -making, educational organisation. Set up under the aegis of Sapt Rishi Society for Social & Educational Development, the institute exclusively imparts distance and online education in the arena of commerce, trade, and management at diploma, advanced diploma, postgraduate diploma, and masters diploma levels. The institute envisions offering industry-oriented, quality education and has tactically partnered with esteemed organisations for joint educational and research measures through its proficient Centre for International management (CIM).
The institute is equipped with a dedicated Trade Information Cell (TIC) to encourage and guide budding entrepreneurs to execute their inventive business ideas. Other than that, the institute’s Placement Cell leaves no stone unturned to get its students placed in reputed organisations with lucrative packages. For its excellence in the educational realm, the institute has gained recognition from the Distance Education Bureau (DEB) of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and renders courses that are approved by the Government of India and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

To enable professionals who wish to grow and evolve career-wise, the Indian Institute of Commerce and Trade (IICT) delivers specialised Management Development Programmes (MDPs). The programmes are of varying durations so that the students can opt for a programme that suits them.
- The institute aims to offer job-oriented courses to its students. For this objective, it has set up a proficient placement cell to deliver relevant training to its students to impart skills. Also, it acts as a mediator between the recruiters and the students and brings in lucrative job packages for its students.

The Indian Institute of Commerce and Trade (IICT) offers distance learning courses via online as well as offline mode.
To seek admission via offline mode, a candidate can buy a prospectus from the institute in exchange for money by demand draft. A candidate can also fetch the free admission form from the website of the institute by downloading it through the mentioned link. A candidate has to fill out the form, attach the self-attested copies of the relevant documents (including the payment slips), and send it to the said address via Registered Post or Courier.
To seek admission via online mode, a candidate can fill out the online admission form through the given link, upload the relevant documents (including payment slips) and submit it. The print out of the application form is to be sent to the institute along with payment details.
The fee paid along with the application form includes registration as well as course fee.
