Don Bosco University was founded in 2007 by the esteemed Don Bosco Society with the vision to impart value-driven, quality education. The cell furnishes students with essential soft skills, industry interactions, and lucrative job offers. The university has an IT-enabled campus that comprises a digitally-aided library, well-equipped classrooms, and computer-aided language labs. For its quality education and research, the university has been recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and has gained a Grade “A” from NAAC.
Don Bosco University opened its distance learning branch, the Don Bosco Global Center for Open and Distance Education. The centre offers quality courses at the Graduate and Postgraduate level in different disciplines and has gained approval from the Distance Education Bureau (DEB) of the University Grants Commission (UGC). To provide flexibility in the admission process for working professionals, the university offers admission to its students on a rolling basis.
The Centre for Open and Distance Education offers admission to students on a rolling basis. This implies that a student can apply for admission in distance education mode any time of the year. This provides students the opportunity to plan their admission, keeping in mind their working schedule.
The centre offers working professionals an opportunity to schedule their examinations with regard to their workload. This helps students to improve their learning in distance education mode.
The Center for Open and Distance Education has got the relevant approval from the Distance Education Bureau (DEB) of the University Grants Commission (UGC). The approval from DEB guarantees the competence of the distance education courses offered by the centre.
