Founded in 2006 by the Government of Chhattisgarh, MATS University was established with the vision to foster academically-driven culture and has a differently abled-friendly campus. It encourages green practices on-campus like a Bio Composting Plant, a Green House, Solar Panels, etc. To help students evolve intellectually and otherwise, the university offers students relevant scholarly exposure through its strategic tie-ups with notable national and international institutions. The Central Placement Cell of the university provides the needful training and counselling to students to prepare them for the cut-throat competition.
It attempts to achieve remarkable standards in distance education by disseminating comprehensive self-instructed materials in modular structures. The Directorate offers Personal Contact Programmes (PCPs) and counselling sessions for the needful guidance of the students with regard to curriculum and examination.
The Directorate offers students opportunities for personal interaction with experienced faculties to clear doubts about the learning resources and curriculum. The students are also provided with valuable guidance regarding examinations.
The Directorate endeavours to impart extensive education which must include both theory and application. It has structured its learning material and assessments in a way to meet the said objective.
To ease the learning process for working professionals, the Directorate adopts a modular approach to design the curriculum for various courses. The curriculum is divided into small, holistic modules that can be easily managed and studied alongside work and imparts education efficiently.
The Directorate offers online access to some of the modules on its website. The students can easily retrieve them on the website of the University.
To help students assimilate into the distance learning mode, the Directorate offers counselling services to the students. The stipulated days for the counselling sessions are 15 days for a year course or 7 days for a semester.

A candidate can get a prospectus along with an application form either in person or through the post or through the link on the website. If a candidate opts to get the prospectus and the application form through the post, he/she/they have to do so by sending a written request along with the demand draft. If you have downloaded the application from the website, send the filled application form along with a demand draft. The application form needs to be filled out and sent through the post on or before the due date at the required address, along with the demand draft (if the student opts to pay the fee through the demand draft). The student can also pay the fee through NEFT by HDFC Bank.
