Established in the year 2001, the Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology was established for higher education and private intervention in the education system. The institute is accredited by UGC and NAAC thus testifying for its academic curriculum and placement opportunities. It is also a member of AIU which helps students understand that the courses are in line with government policies and the global education market. The institute has signed many MoUs and have collaborated with various universities such as Universiti Teknologi Mara, Malaysia; Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh, Gujarat; Indian Institute of Technology, Jammu, Kashmir; Bennett University, Noida and others. It helps students to explore more than just academics.
Dhirubhai Ambani Institute has carved a niche for itself in technical education and offers multiple specialisation in undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate programs. The institute has thoughtfully crafted their curriculum for the students that focuses on foundational knowledge along with specialised courses and internships & real-time projects. The institute has also collaborated with India’s top companies for placements drives such as- Google, Hike, Yahoo, Airtel, LinkedIn, etc.
In the year 2002, Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology launched research based M.Tech and Doctorate programs. The university has three broad categories in the research department – 1. Sponsored Research, 2. Consultancy, 3. Basic research
The university has launched various events over the period of time such as they organised Six-Week Summer Course on Analytics in Agriculture, DAIICT Lecture Series by Dr. Nishith Tripathi, Xilinx Vivado Workshop and many more events that add value to student’s intellectual and co-curricular activities.
About 31020 books, 11230 e-books, 5674 e-journals, 78 print journals, 10 databases, 663 theses, and 3913 audio visual resource material in various fields such as humanities, social sciences, and ICT is available in the resource centre. Additionally, the institute used a web-enabled online catalogue to set up this vast library.
