Established in 2008, Chitkara University is a NAAC accredited and UGC recognised university. The university aims to achieve academic excellence in all the domains of education and has fostered a conducive learning environment for the students. The university lays great emphasis on research and has to its name over 188 publications in renowned national and international journals. The university promotes a culture of entrepreneurship and provides students with a platform to bring to life their innovative startup ideas. It provides them with SEED funding, guidance and other resources.
Chitkara University has adopted a modern and learn-centric teaching pedagogy which is at par with the latest industrial developments. In order to make students industry-ready, the university has entered into many beneficial collaborations with international universities and eminent industries all over the world. California State University, Boston University, The University of British Columbia, York University, University of Birmingham are some of its prominent international partners. The university also makes sure that students get the best opportunities and brings to its campus some of the top recruiters in the country such as Google, Amazon, Cognizant, etc.
Chitkara University Baddi ranked among top ten universities in Swachhta Ranking for Higher Educational Institutions for both 2017 and 2018. It also won the “Environment Leadership Awards 2018-19” for its green campus and countless initiatives towards promoting environmental sustainability.
In order to promote holistic development of its students, the university organises many extracurricular events throughout the year. RYLA program, Gratus, Ted Talks, etc. are a few events organised in the university to give students a chance to groom their personalities.
In order to extend the benefits of its multidisciplinary and applied research for the betterment of the society, Chitkara University has established the Chitkara University Research and Innovation Network (CURIN). Through CURIN, the university aims to help those MSMEs who cannot establish research centres of their own due to financial constraints.
Chitkara University aims to enhance the overall productivity of the society by ensuring that the right people find the right opportunities. In line with the same, the university has established a strong E-Cell that aims at promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship among its students. The cell offers necessary support and seed funding to students to launch their start ups.

In order to apply offline, a student can either collect the form from the university or a regional office. Alternatively, the student can send a demand draft of the application fee to the university and get the application form via post. A student can also download the application form from the website after registering and paying the application fee.

Based upon the marks obtained in entrance examination/ qualifying examination, a merit list will be prepared. All the shortlisted students have to visit the university campus along with original documents for counselling. After the verification of documents, students have to pay the semester fee to get admission.
