Established in 1974, the University of Hyderabad is one of the top higher education and research institutes in the country. The university lays great emphasis on interdisciplinary and multicultural learning. To facilitate the same, it has entered into collaboration with many American universities. The Human Resource Development Centre provides necessary training to the teachers to help them keep pace with the changing requirements of the world. For its efforts to provide quality education, the university has been awarded an A grade by NAAC.
The Centre for Distance and Virtual Learning was established in 1994 to impart skill-oriented education through distance mode of learning. The centre offers various knowledgeable programmes which improve the overall employability of a candidate. Furthermore, these programmes help students develop relevant skills which make them job-ready. To supplement theoretical knowledge, the centre provides students with valuable e-learning material in the form of pdfs and video lessons.

The Centre for Distance and Virtual Learning provides students adequate self learning material in both print as well as digital format. The learning material is prepared keeping in mind the latest industrial requirements so as to keep students up to date with latest market trends.
The University of Hyderabad has prepared various video lessons which are made available on Youtube for the benefit of distance learning students. These videos provide valuable insights over important topics.
The University of Hyderabad organises contact sessions to make up for the lack of interaction in the distance learning mode. These sessions help to address students’ queries and provide clarity over the fundamentals of course.

In order to apply, a student has to download the application form from the website. The student has to send the fully filled application form along with all the requisite documents to the Centre.
