The University of Petroleum & Energy Resources established the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) in the year 2007. The centre aims to provide holistic education in multiple branches of study along with the specialised skill-based courses. Its dynamic learning management platform attempts to deliver distance education effectively and creatively to the students of distance courses. The centre provides access to vast resources via an access management platform and conducts live classes to equip students with application-based learning. The centre has received crucial recognition from the Distance Education Bureau (DEB) of the University Grants Commission (UGC).
The Distance Education Bureau (DEB) of the University Grants Commission (UGC) is the stipulated authority for distance education in India. The Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) has received mandatory approval from the Distance Education Bureau (DEB) which assures that the centre is setting benchmarks in distance education.
The value of education is determined by the efficacy of its delivery, whether it’s distance or regular mode of education. In order to deliver an efficient, value education, the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) has established a proficient learning management system, named BlackBoard Learn. The advanced learning management platform provides relevant e-content in creative formats. It also capacates students to enhance their learning with the aid of assignments.
The Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) gives its students varied project works and assignments to encourage students to use classroom concepts to solve real-world problems. Such assessments endeavour to foster a right balance between convergent and divergent thinking amongst the students.
Other than offering informative videos, the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) conducts live classes for its students in order to furnish them with a congenial learning experience. Taken by adept subject experts, the classes are also a platform to widen professional networks and get a glimpse of the real world from the industry pioneers.
The Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) equips its students with an array of advanced resources from across the globe through an access management platform, named OpenAthens. The students of the centre can easily access an international journal or book by an established professor for reference through their phones and enhance their knowledge.
As the students of distance education are physically distant to their teachers, they face diverse ordeals. To resolve their issues, the centre has instituted a panel of authorised persons to resolve queries of the students. Any student can contact the authorised person via their email addresses and discuss issues to receive quick resolution to their problems.
The Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) offers inclusive discussion forums to encourage students’ participation in debates around key topics concerning their courses. Such constructive debates help students to learn and unlearn concepts and deepen their understanding. Such platforms also aid students in forging a strong and strategic network in their professional realm.
