Established in the year 2016, Brainware University is an integral part of a leading education group, Brainware of West Bengal. Today, we know it as a UGC recognised private university. The university provides UG, PG, PhD, Diploma ,and skill-based programmes in multiple disciplines. It focuses on the holistic growth of the students by focusing on innovation and entrepreneurship. The university was awarded the ‘Best University in Infrastructure, Education and Placement by the Times of India Business Award’ in 2022.
Brainware University focuses on project-based & experiential learning and also provides the students an opportunity to choose value-added courses along with their study programme. There is a Campus to Corporate Cell which not just focuses on the placement of the students but offers intensive pre-placement training. Additionally, it focuses on the soft skills, aptitude grooming, and industry-specific skill training of the students. Over 500+ companies visit the university for placement drives and INR 36 LPA was the highest package offered.
To raise the innovative and entrepreneurial aspect amongst the students, Brainware University has established a Business Incubation Centre which is supported by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises(MSME)- Govt of India. It has the vision to help the students and give them economic support by creating job opportunities. The centre also invites entrepreneurs and innovators to use its services for developing end products for commercialisation.
Brainware University religiously works on the placement aspects for all the students. The university provides pre-placement training, placement bootcamp sessions, live projects and internships. The ultimate target of the university is to provide all its students with placement opportunities. There is a Campus to Corporate Cell that acts as a facilitator for all the placement related activities and connects companies to the students.
Brainware University believes in creating a self sustaining atmosphere where intellectual property fosters innovation and creativity. The university has an IPR Cell that ensures constant support to the researchers so that they can obtain IPR’s for their inventions. The cell also provides direction and knowledge about Intellectual Property Rights, this way it also motivates students and researchers to contribute their patentable works.
The university has collaborated with various industries to provide a high quality academic industry partnership. It has signed MoUs with organisations like TCS iON, CRY and Pearson VUE. These help in student skill development, curriculum enrichment, research and development, guest lectures and student placements. It also has tie ups with various foreign universities. Moreover, Allied Health Sciences Department has collaborated with various healthcare providers for internship opportunities for the students.
At Brainware University, the students are given the opportunity to choose for an optional value added course along with their study programme. This helps in enhancing the career prospects and employability skills of the students.

For admission into various programmes at Brainware University, the students first needs to apply online on the official website or can contact the admission department for the same. After filling out the online application form, the candidate needs to attach all the necessary documents and pay the requisite fees.
