Established on 29th February 2008, Bijapur Lingayat District Educational Association(BLDEA) has the sole objective of providing quality Medical Education and completing the health care needs of the people of North Karnataka. BLDE Deemed University campus is spread over an area of 71.2 acres having 26 departments along with a teaching hospital. BLDE (Deemed to be University) has been rated ‘A’ Grade by NAAC. BLDE (Deemed to be University) has provided healthcare facilities to numerous underprivileged people, thus having well-equipped Rural and Urban Health Centres.
BLDE has state-of-the-art infrastructure, upgraded training & research facilities, a laboratory of vascular Physiology & Medicine, and much more. The campus is connected with added Information & Communication Technology facilities for Teaching, Learning & Research. BLDE has one of the best educational standards in the country and is determined to change the nation’s healthcare system as it has collaborated with the University of Manitoba, ICMR & Tulane University.
BLDE, Deemed to be University, has started a skills laboratory for training & developing necessary clinical skills in UG & PG students. It aims to act as a centre of excellence in providing basic & advanced skills to medical students so that they can deliver healthcare service efficiently.
The Genetics Laboratory of BLDE was created to conduct research in human genetics, train researchers, and provide advanced diagnostic & counselling services to those in need. Its goal is to understand the basics of human genetics, molecular genetics, and neurological & psychiatric disorders. It also provides advanced diagnostic services and genetic counselling to patients and their families.
The Site Management Office of BLDE(DU) offers clinical trial-related services to numerous organisations, such as Contract Research Organisations, Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology & Medical device companies, as it presents quality research efficiently.
To imbibe research culture in every student & faculty, CRL was introduced. The centre aims to make significant contributions to the biomedical research field, promote student and teacher research, and contribute knowledge to basic & advanced medical research.
Centre of Excellence is created to enable every student to achieve their full potential and ensure that they are not affected by any social challenges. The centre is dedicated to quality education so that the students can achieve the ultimate goal of their academic journey.

NEET UG/PG
Candidates who have qualified for NEET UG/PG and have been allotted a seat through MCC online counselling can apply for UG/ PG Programme at BLDE (Deemed-to-be-University).
After filling out the application form and uploading the listed documents, candidates must pay the fees. Then candidates need to visit the campus for verification of documents. The institute will generate the final allotment letter on successful confirmation and payment of fee.
