Established in 1964, Bharati Vidyapeeth began with its Pune campus. Over the years it evolved and spread its roots in various other major cities of India and one such campus is in New Delhi. The Delhi campus is recognised by the UGC and awarded an “A” grade by NAAC. The university is thriving on establishing itself as a globally recognised university. To give students vast opportunities and help them to enter into the global educational world, the university has collaborated with various foreign universities and industries, such as North Carolina Agriculture and Technical State University, University of Reading, University of Cologne, and BPP University.
Bharati Vidyapeeth, New Delhi is a multi-disciplinary university with a special focus on research and entrepreneurship. The university has introduced various centres of research that cater to interdisciplinary research opportunities. Additionally, they have introduced an Entrepreneurship & Development Cell that facilitates students to hone their soft-skills and built an entrepreneurial mindset. Moreover, it has taken various initiates for career enhancement that pays attention to personality development, communication and leadership skills amongst the students.
Established on September 27, 2013 the Entrepreneurship & Development Cell was introduced by the university to help the students to develop an entrepreneurial mindset. The university facilitates networking opportunities for the students via tie-ups with industries, events such as hackathons, sharing startup ideas, guest lectures, industry interactions, and panel discussions.
The university has taken various initiatives to help students understand the need for skill development. They motivate the students, raise awareness, and help them grow holistically. Some of the initiatives taken by the university are personal counselling, remedial coaching, guidance for Competitive Exam, and Soft-Skills Development.
To promote research skills amongst the students, the university has introduced three initiatives, namely – Yashwantrao Chavan Institute of Social Science Studies and Research, Research & Development Centre in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Applied Chemistry, and Interactive Research School of Health Affairs in some specialised fields.
The University has tie-ups with a number of foreign universities and Indian research institutions to promote research activity. The university has collaborated with the following foreign universities: North Carolina Agriculture and Technical State University, University of Reading, University of Cologne, and BPP University.
The university runs the scheme of Nirbhay Kanya Abhiyan for female students. The main objective of this scheme is to cultivate a sense of self-confidence amongst the students. University provides appropriate funds for the scheme as well.
Bharati Vidyapeeth is dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment to enhance the learning experience of students. This allows each student and academic/service staff to function without any risk of injury or illness.
This scheme is dedicated to foster growing interest and offer opportunities for graduates who wish to pursue higher education and research across the globe. It offers training exams like GRE, GMAT, SAT, TOEFL, and IELTS. These training sessions are offered by industry specialists. The cell also offers foreign language courses in French, Spanish, German, and Japanese languages.

The university conducts Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission into its various Graduate and Postgraduate Courses.
