Ashoka University, Sonipat

For the holistic development of the students, Ashoka University has introduced various clubs and societies wherein students can explore their interests. The Edict, Ashoka’s Student Newspaper, Ashoka’s Broadway Club, SLAM Poetry Club, Abhinaya, Dance Club, Meri Dastan, Storytelling Society, Kirdaar, Big Bake Theory, Entrepreneurial Venture, Film Society, etc., to name a few are run by the university. 

Ashoka University has launched various centres, such as Ashoka Centre of Translation, Ashoka Centre of China Studies, Centre of Economics Data & Analysis, Centre of Social Behaviour & Change, Centre for Writing & Communication, and many more. Via these centres, the university aims to impart courses & skills that are globally accepted. It is one of the very few universities in India to introduce such centres.

The university has introduced LEAD as their internship cell with the objective to Learn, Envision, and Ascend for Development. The main focus of the cell is to offer career development services via its multiple modes of engagement, namely – Summer Internships, Virtual Internships, Credit-Based Internships, YIF Experiential Learning Programme, Winter Internships, Shadow Programme, and many more.

Ashoka University provides advanced Research & Knowledge. The university develops a trained workforce through collaborating and forming relationships with organisations, universities, business organisations, and other entities both in India and overseas. The university has collaborated with University of Cambridge, University of California Berkeley, Yale University, Trinity College Dublin, and many more.

Prominent scholars, such as the Dalai Lama, Madeleine Albright, Shashi Tharoor, and others have paid visits to Ashoka University to enlighten the students with their wise words.

Through Ashoka’s Summer Abroad Programme, students can choose to extend their educational experience by enrolling in classes offered at prestigious overseas universities. Students have the choice to enrol in programmes that offer a range of options in various fields of study to explore guided research, foreign language education, and other academic endeavours. These programmes provide an interdisciplinary method of studying areas including Political Science, Economics, and Environmental Studies along with other resources.
