The university provides apprenticeship training to its students to provide application-based learning and theoretical resources. The university has received recognition from the Distance Education Bureau (DEB), the sole authority of distance education in India.
In distance education, the study centres are a strong link between the university and the students. These study centres are established in a way that they cater to the academic needs of the people of inaccessible or unreached regions.
In order to proffer interactive learning resources to its students, the school broadcasts well-detailed lectures on AIR Warangal. To do so, the university has entered into a strategic collaboration with the said radio channel. Designed by adept faculty and subject experts, the lectures are broadcasted at a stipulated time and the students are pre-informed about it via updates on the website.
Usually, distance learning students are on their own when it comes to their academic performance. However, the School of Distance Learning and Continuing Education (SDLCE) organizes personal contact programs from time to time for all the courses. Students must attend the programes and clarify their doubts regarding curriculum and otherwise. The contact classes are taken by not only the school faculty but also well-acclaimed visiting faculty from prominent organizations.
The School of Distance Learning and Continuing Education (SDLCE) assesses students on the basis of Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS). This kind of evaluation system allows students with essential flexibility to choose courses from other disciplines to broaden their knowledge base and diversify their learning.
In order to develop, evolve and propagate inventive pedagogical tools for distance education, the school publishes a bi-annual journal called ‘Research in Distance Education’. The journal throws light on various research conducted to bring out effective transformation in teaching in distance learning mode.
The School of Distance Learning and Continuing Education (SDLCE) gives students an opportunity to work as an apprentice while they are learning. While working as an apprentice, the students can apply the theoretical learnings of their curriculum and improve their comprehension.
To aid students in their future career development, the School of Distance Learning and Continuing Education (SDLCE) has instituted a coaching centre. Endowed with proficient teachers, the coaching centre provides training for various competitive exams.
