Established in 1969, University of Kashmir offers programmes in all the major faculties and has been constantly introducing innovative/ new programmes to cater to the needs and demands of the students and the society. The University has been re-accredited as ‘A+’ by NAAC which demonstrates high standard of quality in teaching and research at the University of Kashmir. The distinct feature of the university is its Satellite Campuses established at Anantnag (South Campus) and Baramulla (North Campus). It is establishing 3 more Satellite Campuses at Kupwara, Kargil and Leh to make higher education more accessible to people living in remote areas of Kashmir valley.
The University of Kashmir established the Directorate of Distance Education in the year 1976 with the view to impart education in different disciplines and undertake a diverse range of activities. It offers interdisciplinary education and follows an innovative teaching methodology. It focuses on the overall personality development of the students. The university offers various student support services like study material, grievance redressal and more to make the learning process easier for the students.
University of Kashmir gives access to its students to all kinds of study materials related to the curriculum. For distance admission at Chandigarh University, a student has to follow a 5-step process wherein he will have to log in/sign up to proceed. A user id and password will be generated for the same. After this, a student will have to fill an application form, submit the documents, and make payment of the program fee.
